I have a steel outdoor table and chairs set with an open waffle weave pattern. While the chairs are otherwise very comfortable, you can’t sit in them for even a few minutes without a cushion because the pattern of the metal digs into your skin.This table set is completely exposed to the elements 24/7/365. I’ve had it for several years and it’s in nearly brand new condition. However, it’s impossible to keep chair cushions dry or looking decent in those conditions. Over the years I’ve tried covering the set when not in use, but the furniture covers quickly started looking shabby and ugly and I ended up not using the set because removing and replacing the cover was a hassle. I also tried storing the cushions when not in use and bringing them out only when I wanted to use the table, but that was also a hassle, especially because I have to store the cushions in an inconvenient location due to their bulk.I stumbled across these cushions randomly and decided to give them a try. I don’t use them when we have guests (I have “fancy” cushions for that) but for every day use they’re perfect. They have enough padding to make the chair seat comfortable, they don’t hold water, and they dry quickly. The result is that I can leave them out all the time and I don’t have to plan ahead just to enjoy my outdoor dining table. We’ve found that we use our table and enjoy our outdoor space at least ten times more often than we used to - no exaggeration.For my purposes, these cushions fit the bill perfectly. If you’re looking for plush outdoor chair cushions in designer fabrics, then these aren’t for you. If you want something to add a little padding between you and the seat that is also durable, no maintenance, and super easy to store (should you decide to), then I say give these a chance.
