I live in a Chicago suburb and if this winter is anything like the last, I thought it was definitely worth the money to buy this floor mat. I have a dog that goes we let out into the backyard and when he comes in he takes about half the yard's snow with him. This mat lays flat enough that it doesn't feel like we're walking on a bubbly surface like most other mats/rugs but it's durable enough to withstand my dog, my husband, and my cat who loves to claw at the fabric material. It absorbs the moisture without locking it in (it'll evaporate over a short period of time). It's plenty lengthy and spans the entire width of my back patio sliding door - and then some! I'd buy this product over again. In fact, I'll be looking for the same mat in a different shape for my front door.
